Bio
I have always been an avid traveler and have lived on three continents: Africa, Europe and Australia.
Meeting people from different countries and understanding different cultures has always been one of my strongest passions.
I had to leave my hometown in Africa as a war refugee and was confronted with the concepts of CHANGE and ADAPTATION from an early age, forcing me to understand “what is home, where is home.”
“Once one becomes a migrant, there is no longer a single place of belonging. A deep, sometimes tortuous and restless journey is inevitable to make us realize that everything we seek is actually already within us.”
This strong need to find answers has led me to acquire a mix of knowledge that can hardly be learned in a single career path.
I have chosen some paths out of curiosity, others by chance, but in the end they all have had a synergistic effect, creating a unique and ideal formula that has allowed me to recognize and express my talents.
Curious about the functioning of the body and its close connection with the mind, I began my professional career in the early 1990s by studying Shiatsu and Yoga.
Since then, these two disciplines, along with a consistent meditation practice, have become pillars in my life, sustaining me during the various challenges I have encountered.
Since I moved to Australia in 2014, I have deepened my studies, seemingly different and disconnected from each other, but all with a common goal: to restore the body, mind and spirit and bring them to a state of well-being, harmony and wholeness.
I have studied the power of vibration through the use of Tibetan singing bowls applied to the body, as well as the meditative form of Yoga Nidra that helps people investigate their minds even deeper, enabling them to move from concepts of separation, anxiety and fear to those of equanimity, compassion and self-acceptance.
I have continued my education by obtaining the international diploma of “Holistic Health, Somatic and Nutrition Coach” so as to support people in their life transitions and transformations, while also supporting the nutritional aspect, particularly mindful eating and the gut/brain/immune system connection.
I am expanding my research into somatic practices and the study of biology of trauma by using the Polyvagal Theory, the theory of the nervous system, as an integrated technique to understand the physiological and psychological effects of stress and trauma on the body-mind in order to rebalance and re-harmonise the autonomous nervous system.
